Philosophy of Teaching
The school believes in engaging the students actively in the teaching-learning process. Students are encouraged through activities to analyze and apply concepts. Learning environments that facilitate asking questions, making self-discoveries and persistent problem-solving are deliberately created.
While rote memory is not encouraged, creative and critical thinking skills are intentionally nurtured by engaging in experiential learning. Curiosity, confidence, ability to reflect and higher-order thinking skills are some of the benefits of interactive teaching followed in the classrooms.
The teachers use a five step process for teaching all concepts across all age groups – aim, action, analysis, application, and assessment. Teachers have access to excellent teaching resources and undergo regular training sessions. Students answer multiple worksheets to practice the application of concepts learned. The activities planned in the classroom require the students to apply the teaching content while encouraging them to work and make discoveries independently.
Experiential teaching followed in our classrooms increases curiosity, confidence, ability to reflect, and higher-order thinking skills in children. It also helps the students to develop their responsibility in learning which increases the interest in the subject.
