Grandparents Day

Grandparents day is celebrated on the 13th of September every year. Students from classes from I to V bring their grandparents along with them to school. As a school, we believe that celebrating this day would bring the young people closer to their grandparents and it gifts them good qualities and cherishing memories. The day is started with various programs like playing and speech by students followed by fun-filled activities for the grandparents.

Teacher’s day

The joyful learning space for students is achieved by the excellent teaching of our faculties. Annually, on the 5th of September, students have a chance to express their love, gratitude, and appreciation that they have for their beloved teachers by organizing various events in the morning assembly. We honor and celebrate their dedicated contributions in the field of academics and well being. We thank them for their efforts and years of delightful services.

Annual Day

The Annual Day is a celebration of students who have excelled across fields during the academic year and of the students who take to the stage to flex their talents. After weeks of hard practice, students of all classes stage different performances ranging from musical performances to plays in English and Tamil to dances. This is followed by the prize distribution ceremony for general proficiency winners, scripture, school toppers, and achievers in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Wood Apple

Wood Apple is the annual inter-school cultural fest conducted by the school.  About a thousand participants from across 40 different schools throng into the campus for two days to participate in a slew of events ranging from quilling to storytelling for the juniors and mime to instrumental music for the seniors.

Sports Week

The celebration of sports at Anita Methodist comes not just because of its health and wellness benefits, but also from its ability to teach life lessons. We encourage our students to have a community-driven attitude towards sports, instead of being solely competition-driven. We believe that it is important for students to strive for discipline, accountability, and teamwork even if the payoff is not a trophy and this philosophy drives the sports training in our school. We would rather our students take to the ground to have wholesome fun than to win medals.

In order to truly celebrate sports and give the students time to revel and cheer for their school sports team, the traditional Sports Day has been extended to a Sports Week at our school. With nearly 50 events taking place over the course of a week, the atmosphere in the school is akin to a carnival during the Sports Week. About 500 students are celebrated as winners at the end of Sports Week.

Children’s day

We believe that our students are truly the greatest blessings from Heaven that as a school we deserve. To emphasize their value and to express our love, on the 14th of November, we celebrate our children by organizing various special events in the morning assembly. As a part of this celebration, we encourage students to come in their desired clothes which makes our campus appear more cheeringly colorful.
